Jersey War Tunnels is one of the island’s most iconic and visited attractions, welcoming guests from around the world. Through powerful storytelling, immersive experiences and outstanding service, we bring history to life while delivering an exceptional visitor experience.
We are now looking for an Operations Manager to play a key role in the day-to-day management of the attraction and help drive operational excellence across the business.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated, hands-on leader who enjoys working in a fast-paced visitor environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional guest experiences.
The Role
Reporting to the General Manager, the Operations Manager will oversee the daily operational running of the attraction, ensuring high standards across visitor experience, staff performance and operational efficiency.
This is a guest-focused leadership role requiring strong organisational skills, people management experience and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
You will work closely with department managers to ensure the attraction operates smoothly, safely and efficiently at all times.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee the day-to-day operations of Jersey War Tunnels

Ensure consistently high standards of Health & Safety and visitor experience

Support, manage and lead operational teams across departments

Coordinate daily operational planning including staffing and visitor flow

Ensure compliance with health, safety and operational procedures

Assist the General Manager in delivering business objectives

Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, service and visitor engagement

Support staff training, development and performance management
-
Ensure the attraction is presented to the highest standards at all times

Act as a key point of contact for operational issues and guest enquiries
About You
We are looking for someone who:

Has experience in operations management, ideally in tourism, hospitality or visitor attractions

Is a strong people leader who can motivate and support teams

Has excellent customer service and communication skills

Is organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple priorities

Enjoys working in a guest-facing environment
-
Has strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail and a high level of digital experience

Is flexible and willing to work weekends and peak visitor periods
