Alexandrine Baudains was placed in protective custody with her son for
11 months during the Occupation.
On 23rd March 1946, when found to have been an active collaborator with the German occupiers (which was an offence with severe punishment), she was deported to England never to return to the island.
She died on the 26th May 1975, at the age of 71, in Bristol.
